Frequently Asked Questions

Straightforward answers about quotations, delivery options, collection, customs and packing.

What information is needed for a quote?

Provide the collection postcode or area, destination country and city or district, preferred service, number of items, approximate weight and dimensions, accurate contents description and your contact details. A preferred collection date can be included as a request.

Which areas of Bangladesh are served?

Enquiries may include Dhaka, Sylhet, Chattogram, Rajshahi and Barishal as well as other districts. Coverage and the available service are confirmed individually for the exact destination.

What is door-to-door service?

It is an arrangement for collection at an agreed location and delivery to the recipient’s address, where available. Ask for written confirmation of what collection, destination delivery and other services the quotation includes.

What is door-to-airport service?

Cargo is collected from an agreed location and made available at the nominated destination airport. The recipient normally needs to manage airport collection and applicable destination formalities.

What is airport-to-airport service?

The shipment moves between agreed airports. Collection from the sender and delivery to the recipient are not automatically included, so both parties must understand their handover and collection responsibilities.

Can cargo be collected in London?

London home and business collection requests are considered individually. Provide the full postcode, item count, weight, dimensions, access information and preferred date. Collection is not confirmed until agreed directly.

Can larger consignments be accepted?

You can enquire about larger consignments. Acceptance depends on the exact weight, dimensions, contents, route and available handling arrangements. Tell the team about heavy or oversized pieces at the start.

Are worldwide destinations available?

Worldwide air-freight enquiries are considered individually. The website does not guarantee coverage to every country, airport or address.

What items cannot be sent?

Restrictions depend on the item, quantity, packaging, route and destination. Explosives, flammables, batteries, liquids, aerosols, medicines, food, plants, weapons and other regulated goods need particular attention. This is not an exhaustive list—ask before packing anything uncertain.

Are customs charges included?

Do not assume so. Duties, taxes, handling, storage and other destination charges may apply. Ask for written confirmation of exactly what a quotation includes and what the sender or recipient may need to pay separately.

Is insurance available?

No insurance cover is promised on this website. If cover is important, ask UK Cargo Service to confirm in writing whether any option is available, its terms, exclusions and limits, before booking.

How long will delivery take?

An estimated timeframe can be discussed after the shipment and route are known. It is not guaranteed and may be affected by flights, customs, security checks, weather and local delivery conditions.

How should cargo be packed?

Use strong packaging suitable for the weight, prevent contents moving, protect fragile items and seal each piece securely. Follow any item-specific instructions and remove old labels from reused boxes.

How can a customer make a complaint?

Email info@ukcargoservice.co.uk or call 020 7729 5558. Give your name, contact details, shipment reference if available, what happened and the outcome you are seeking. See the Complaints page.
